News Reading

The course on Innovation and Entrepreneurship aims at giving a hands-on learning experience to the students. We believe that interactive classes would result in maximum participation, which in turn will help the students to grasp the concept faster and stay up to date with the fields of their interest. Hence, a news reading activity is made mandatory for students enrolled in this course, wherein every student must come up with one startup-related news each day, to help their fellow batch mates stay updated. We make sure to include questions related to recent updates in the examination in order to make the students take this activity seriously. Moreover, the internal marks are affected by the kind of content the students bring to class each day.

Role Play

The Innovation and Entrepreneurship course encourages students to light up their creative side as much as possible. The best way to do this is via having fun activities like roleplay in order to ensure maximum involvement from the students. Role-playing is meant to engage students in real-life situations or scenarios that are otherwise stressful, unfamiliar, complex or controversial, which help the student to improve their problem-solving abilities and ensure that they work smoothly under adversities. These students are future entrepreneurs who are bound to be facing such hurdles at some point in their careers. At Swarrnim University we prepare the students in every way possible. We motivate the students to start living as entrepreneurs and adopt a similar lifestyle here on the campus of Swarrnim University.

Case Studies

To take the hands-on experience up a notch, a case-based learning approach is adopted by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship course teaching methods. We help students realize that case-based learning is an essential part of business education as it enables students to discover and develop their unique framework for dealing with entrepreneurial problems. This helps the students to relate well to the real-world aspects of being an entrepreneur. Discussing the mistakes already made, analyzing the solutions adopted, critically thinking about what you would have done in that situation and developing your own point of view is crucial in the learning process of this course. Having case study sessions gives the students an edge over their peers when faced with similar difficulties.

Market Research

While turning from students into working professionals, it is of utmost importance that you weigh the options and check the waters before diving in the real world. This is done by adequate market research for the markets in which the student wants to practice in or create a profession in. However, this is secondary. The primary focus should be on how market research should be conducted in order to get accurate results with proper relevancy. It is essential for students to gain practice in knowing their target audience, exploring potential competitors, business environments, etc., which is possible by conducting thorough market research. The students enrolled in the Innovation and Entrepreneurship course at Swarrnim university are assigned to design questionnaires by collecting data and analysing it by the means of statistical tests and software. The motto of this activity is that we do not want our students to have to face the unexpected and to train them to always be prepared.

Start-Up Project

Having theoretical knowledge is all nice and good until there comes a practical situation where the student has to be the problem-solver. Assigning students with start-up projects ensures that the students can apply their theoretical knowledge in practicality. This acts as a real test in terms of how much the student has learnt in the classroom. The most prominent advantage of a startup project is that it brings a wealth of benefits to students, both while completing a degree and while seeking a career path post their graduation.

The format of a startup project report is as mentioned below-
