In the era of lack of resources, it is vital for the upcoming generations, especially entrepreneurs, to learn how to make the best out of the worst, may it be any given situation or even a product. For the same reason, the activity to make the best out of the waste is organized by the university. With all innovation capabilities and creativity, it is possible to use unwanted materials in a useful manner. Recycling is an important concept nowadays and this activity ensures that every little thing can be reused and recycled. Even the dump or the waste can be used to create something new and useful, which is the beauty of recycling. This idea also promotes environmental protection by reducing the amount of waste generated in the most imaginative manner. This activity not only helps the environment, but also enhances the presentation skills and creativity of the students, thereby making them realise the importance of recycling and reusing the waste material in their home, college, or workplace.

Role-play is a simulation methodology, which can help students apply their theoretical knowledge in practicality, which results in the advancement of their knowledge and understanding of concepts. This activity also helps students to acquire and practice skills that will help them in their professional life. This activity helps students realise different situations and what is the best way to act in them and solve issues and problems which are encountered by almost everyone in their day-to-day life. By the means of this activity at Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University, students can role-play different entrepreneurial situations which will be useful to them. The role-plays include situations like meeting with clients, presentation in front of the investors and board meetings with stakeholders. These activities will not only help students to learn the technical aspects of the field but will also train them in terms of behavioural aspects while dealing with people in a professional setup. It will help students realise and hone the skills of convincing, politeness, time management, communication skills and much more. On top of it all, the students will learn how to demonstrate these skills and handle situations better.

To take the hands-on experience up a notch, a case-based learning approach is adopted by the Innovation and Entrepreneurship course teaching methods. We help students realize that case-based learning is an essential part of business education as it enables students to discover and develop their unique framework for dealing with entrepreneurial problems. This helps the students to relate well to the real-world aspects of being an entrepreneur. Discussing the mistakes already made, analyzing the solutions adopted, critically thinking about what you would have done in that situation and developing your own point of view is crucial in the learning process of this course. Having case study sessions gives the students an edge over their peers when faced with similar difficulties.

E-Haat is one of the largest and the biggest impactful entrepreneurial activities are undertaken by Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University. The most unique thing about this activity is that it is undertaken, organised, conducted, and hosted completely by the students themselves, without the interference of any faculty members. The fun part is also that the students participate in this with their unique business ideas, but the haat itself trains the students to conduct an event or even a business. The haat consists of multiple stalls by the students, where they showcase their ideas of a business by conducting the business. Real money is involved here to motivate the students to give their best. All the members of the university participate in this activity. This is done with an aim to ignite a real business idea in the young, talented minds of the students at the university.

This activity helps students to identify opportunities, as the name suggests, and work towards them. The primary task of any entrepreneur is to identify opportunities and then invest their time, efforts and even money into them. This leads to industry awareness and idea generations. This will give students hands-on experience in the discipline of product development, which is the most important stage in building a business as an entrepreneur. The base of any startup is opportunity identification by the way of idea generation which leads to product development.

This national-level e-quiz is organised to spark competition among the students to test the waters of their knowledge by comparing it to their peers’ knowledge. The quiz is related to startups, entrepreneurs, and major stakeholders to sensitise the students regarding the startup culture prevailing around the world.

This activity involves an inter-college competition related to literature reviews that must be done before beginning any venture. This leads to the enhancement of knowledge, with a view to showcase talent by the students. Proper research skills will always come in handy for students who are budding entrepreneurs.

Idea Marathon activity also takes a form of an inter-college competition. This encourages creativity amongst the students participating, which they can do by sharing insights on any given topic or industry. This is essential for developing an entrepreneurial mindset and acts as a stepping stone for growing entrepreneurs. This will also lead to business idea generation as well as financial awareness. This might also lead to startup projects that the students might even undertake practically.

Enigma is Swarrnim Startup and Innovation University’s signature event. The event promotes business ideas that the students might have. This activity enables the students to identify opportunities via industry problems and generate unique insights and ideas.
